A Ceramic + Floral Experience by Okey Doecke
at Sparrow Lane + Sunset Meadows Flower Farm

Create your own coil-built vase, finished in a soft white satin glaze. Each piece is made personal with hand-drawn hearts, turning it into a true heirloom keepsake, or you can opt for an Okey Doecke signature heart.

This is a two-part experience designed to feel slow and a little bit magical. We're curating a space to gather with your favourite people, make something meaningful with your hands, and step away from the noise of everyday life.

You'll create a beautiful, timeless, organic piece suitable for all skill levels, even those who don't consider themselves "artistic."

After firing, join us Sunday August 23 at Sunset Meadows Flower Farm for a short guided floral styling experience using seasonal blooms. You'll receive a relaxed demonstration on how to assemble your arrangement, then choose your own flowers to bring your vase to life.

Event Details

Part 1: Vase Workshop
Location: Sparrow Lane

Guests will be split into two workshop sessions:
Session 1: 12:45 PM
Session 2: 3:30 PM

Each workshop session is 2 hours long

Part 2: Floral Experience + Vase Pick-Up
Location: Sunset Meadows Flower Farm
Date: Sunday, August 23

Your floral experience time will match your workshop session from Part 1:
Guests from Session 1: 1:00 PM
Guests from Session 2: 2:30 PM

Each floral experience is 1 hour long.

If you are unable to attend the floral experience, we can arrange for your vase and seasonal flowers to be collected in Stony Plain the following weekend. Please note that no refunds or discounts will be offered if you are unable to attend.

What's Included
- Ceramic vase (approx. 20cm), white satin glaze on speckled clay, two kiln firings, and hand-drawn heart custom detailing
- Goodie bag: small selection of curated local gifts
- Welcome signature cocktail or mocktail at Sparrow Lane
- Guided floral styling demonstration
- Seasonal blooms for your arrangement - Two-day creative experience across both venues

Price - $265 per person (+ tax)

Additional Notes

• Cash bar available at Sparrow Lane for additional drinks
• Small cracks may occur as part of handmade ceramics; these are usually still water tight
• In the rare case of larger cracks so its not water tight or if a piece is accidentally broken, you may opt to remake your piece at your leisure, or as a last resort, I can wheel throw a replacement for you
• For hand-drawn hearts, the preferred placement is 1-3 hearts per side of the vase. One heart often looks the most balanced. You may also choose to use the Okey Doecke signature heart instead if preferred Please note: sessions may overlap ever so lightly creating a shared, lively atmosphere.
• No refunds will be issued if you are unable to attend the workshop. Your spot may be transferred by you to another guest, or I may be able to assist in finding someone from a waitlist if available.
